“I cannot remember the books I’ve read any more than the meals I have eaten; even so, they have made me.“
– Ralph Waldo Emerson
I’ve always been a voracious reader – from when I was 3 years old and fainted when I received the applause of my mom’s friends for being able to read the newspaper, to spending my weekends at the public library in my youth, to working in a bookstore in my teens – I’ve read a lot.
Needless to say, when I got serious about building my own business back in 2009 and realized that success would require a combination of strategies and personal growth, I dove in pretty heavily into two book categories – Business & Personal Development.
On this page, I’d like to share some of the books that have had the greatest impact on my business and my life as an entrepreneur.*
I truly believe that books are a shortcut – like learning from a great mentor who has made the mistakes, learned from them, created a new path forward, and then written it all down to help you leapfrog over those mistakes in a few short chapters.
Here are some of my favourite books for entrepreneurs.
